I am an independent specialized in actuarial services, data strategy and data execution for the financial sector. Before my position as entrepreneur started in 2022, I joined Allianz Benelux in July 2018 as chapter lead of data scientists to develop and lead the team (rounded 15 internals, 2 traineeships, 3 externals and 2 students). This role included the coaching, the skills development of the team and the promotion of data science. I was also strategic theme lead and data product manager for all E2E non life insurance products including pricing and claims handling. I have developed expertise in AI ethics and MLOps. Prior, I was a senior expert advisor (within the Risk Consulting team of KPMG Advisory in Belgium, with 4 years of experience in the areas of risk and actuarial modelling life and non life insurance, regulation, etc). I was also an active member of the ‘Data Analytics’ team for which I was supporting the development of predictive modelling techniques (machine learning techniques [supervised and not supervised], deep learning techniques, etc. I have started my career in academia as a teaching assistant at the University of Mons. For 9 years including several years of post doc, I have developed a strong expertise in nonlinear analysis and as a teacher.
