Freelance IT project manager

Our client is a family-owned metal recycling company with 45 branches in Belgium, France and the Netherlands. They are starting a major IT project in September and are working with AMCS Ireland to develop a European standard for metal recyclers. Their existing ERP package (LISA from Claerhout Computer Engineering) and two new packages will be connected via APIs.

To manage this ambitious project, they are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for meeting deadlines with excellent results, informing all stakeholders at all levels through clear reporting, and working within the set budget.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the IT project and ensure successful implementation.
• Coordinate collaboration with AMCS Ireland and other partners.
• Ensure seamless integration of the new ERP package with existing systems via APIs.
• Report to management and other stakeholders on project progress.
• Monitor project schedule and budget.

Profile:

• Master's degree (technical or economic).
• Extensive experience with ERP projects in complex manufacturing environments.
• Thorough knowledge of financial systems and processes.
• Fluent communication in Dutch, French and English.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Goal-oriented and able to make decisions and overrule others when necessary.
• Experience in the recycling industry is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to Ireland regularly from September to December 2024.
