For a client in the port of Ghent, we are looking for an experienced freelance transport planner To join the national planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently organizing shipments, processing orders and coordinating between customers, carriers and drivers.
Duties:
- Efficient transportation planning.
- Processing orders into systems.
- Support daily scheduling with charter trucks and trailers.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through problem solving.
- Coordinate between customers, carriers, drivers and warehouse.
- Ensure timely deliveries and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prerequisites:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Accurate and analytical thinking skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in shifts to work (06:00-14:06 and 13:54-22:00).
- Good PC skills and knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English; other languages are a plus.
- Experience in a logistics environment.
