For a growing company, we are looking for a Freelance Technical Calculator.
As a Freelance Technical Calculator, you are the lynchpin between sales and execution. You will work closely with the sales team and translate incoming leads into concrete calculations, with a focus on maintenance contracts and technical interventions. You will also be given the opportunity to help shape this new role. You will actively think along about process optimization and automation. Your duties:
- Preparation of technical calculations (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building management, etc.).
- Reading, interpreting and understanding specifications & award criteria
- Participate in customer visits to get a clear view of the situation and have a personal connection with the prospect
- Translation of the contents of the specifications into various calculations, figures and margins.
- Consult with your project team and keep an eye on the deadline
- Present your calculations internally to our management before submitting our offer
- Provide additional explanation to the prospect after submission so they fully understand the calculation and reasoning behind it
- Collaborate with account managers, estimators (cleaning & catering), bid writers and technical supervisors.
- Collaborate on more efficient working methods and digital tools.
