Our client has a network of gas stations around the world and are working on a lot of projects.
We are looking for a freelance retail market analyst who will work very closely with the catogory managers and disctrict managers regarding in-store sales and the recently launched Loyalty card.
The idea is to be able to identify issues both in terms of the shops (sales/trends/market) and from the Loyalty card (promotions/trends/market) and also pass them on to the category and district managers.
Your duties as freelance retail market analyst:
- Be able to create reports in Excel to support category managers and field team or disctrict managers (sales reports/margin reports/ promo reports/non scanning reports)
- Be able to explain reports in an understandable language
- Take over administrative tasks from retail admin who are shop linked : shop messages on Netlink , pass on remise/reprise info to commercial partners
- Inclusion of small impulse categories (vb chewin gum ) : analyze sales , be able to calculate margins , analyze planograms prepared by Conway , be able to work out promos with commercial partners , detect opportunities to boost sales
- loyalty reporting
- Update loyalty report DM (+- 2x per month)
- Create new dashboards with info we need, dashboard related on sales, promotions, fraud, ...
- Updating / creating reports for the various departments ; global retail, shop, fuel, members, ...
- Update incentive loyalty (1x per month, + final ranking)
- Reporting of promotions
- Refund coupons via Good Will Fee (1x per month)
Your profile as a freelance retail market analyst:
- Analytical thinking and reasoning skills
- Thorough knowledge of excel - creating templates - pivot tables - formulas
- Basic knowledge of powerpoint & word
- Strong advantage is bilingualism NL / FR
- Pragmatic and hands-on thinking skills
- Love variety in work
- Be able to work independently (and want to see work done)
- Strong in administrative tasks
- Want to be eager to learn about systems (icasa, sap, future bi tool, comarch platform for loyalty, etc...)
- Communication skills (be able to explain analyses clearly to "lay people")
- Additional advantage is certainly commercial knowledge in (food) retail and knowledge of the terms sales, cost of goods, margin, weighted margin
- Be stress resistant and able to prioritize
This is an assignment of min 3 months but could be longer. Someone has dropped out and there is no certainty when this person will return. Many tasks were shared but they want to outsource this set of tasks to a freelancer.
Work will be in the Vilvoorde office and we are looking for someone for 4 or 5 days a week.
The company has 50 employees at its Vilvoorde headquarters.
