5 indispensable free tools for freelancers

The Internet is full of free online tools that help you manage your workflow and simplify your work processes. In the proliferation of free tools, many digital natives have already become endlessly lost. Can't see the forest for the trees anymore? Do you doubt whether you should download the umpteenth new messenger app or install that promising time management application? Then we would like to give you a brief overview of the only free tools you really need in your arsenal as a freelancer.

1.Toggl

Toggle is a time tracking application that helps you get an exact picture of how much time you spend on a given task. For freelancers who work by the hour, Toggle is an important accomplice. You turn Toggle on when you start the task and press the button when you're done. Easy peasy. Plus, you can see in a clear report how profitable your projects are because Time Is Money.

2. Trello

Trello is an online tool for structuring and organizing projects. How you do that is entirely up to you. You can easily create different boards at the push of a button. All your tasks appear in clear columns. You can label tasks and add deadlines (with notifications when your task is due). Divide your project into certain phases, and your client can easily follow where the task is in the pipeline.

3. Calendly

Trying to schedule an appointment but keep emailing back and forth to find the appropriate date and time? With Calendly this all runs a lot smoother. Calendly is an online calendar system that allows your customers, suppliers or partners to book appointments in your calendar themselves. You specify in advance which times you are available and Calendly does the rest. Integration with Google, Outlook, Office 365 and iCloud is also possible. That way there will never be a double booking again!

4. Slack

Slack is the Whatsapp for business messages. Quickly sending a message to your client can thus be easily separated from your private communication. The convenience of Slack lies in its integrations with tools you already use. Google Drive, Salesforce, you name it. Fast, user-friendly and free. Slack is a must!

5. Freedom

No more distractions, aimless surfing the Internet and compulsively checking your social media channels. Freedom give you back your freedom. Through this app you can easily block apps that interfere with your productivity. You choose how long you want to block the apps on your phone and will find that your productivity goes up in a straight line. Hey wait, the GIGHOUSE app don't block lol 😉
